As part of our Vehicles and Tactical Systems business, our Protected Vehicles team is primarily focused on the design, manufacture, delivery and support of protected mobility vehicles on a global scale.

We are expanding our protected vehicles team are looking to hire passionate, driven and experienced Lean, Performance and Continuous Improvement Coach.

The Lean, Performance and Continuous Improvement Coach provides expertise in Lean practices and offers methodological support to the teams and stakeholders.

In this role, you will serve in the role of LCL2 (Lean Coach Level 2):

either at a specific site or as needed across the group, you will assume the responsibilities of the Lean & Performance Manager regarding the implementation of Lean.


About the role:

As a Lean, Performance and Continuous Improvement Coach, you are accountable to:

  • Command a systemic grasp of Lean principles and the main practices, including Just-in-Time.
  • Provide coaching and training for local managers and the wider group.
  • Support management in its operational challenges and Gembawalks
  • Lead continuous improvement across the site.
  • Implement Lean practices in accordance with the Group's Lean team recommendations.
  • Provide industrial expertise (production and/or repair) due to extensive knowledge of the APICS reference database.
  • Contribute to transformation and improvement plans.

How about you?
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

  • Mastery of principal Lean practices: Continuous Level Pull Flow, Just-in-Time, Andon, 5S, Problem-Solving, Kaizen, etc.
  • Good knowledge of Supply Chain Performance Assessments (SCPA) and APCIS (certification).
  • Basic knowledge of Production and Repair processes and support function processes and knowledge of products and their manufacturing or repair processes.
  • Knowledge of industrial management control and the Multi Year Budget (MYB) process.
  • Practice of analytical and problemsolving techniques Plan Do Check Act (PDCA).
  • Knowledge of industrial IT & use of dashboards (analysis, decision support, etc) and industrial digitalisation.
  • Lean Leader Certification (highly preferred).
  • Leadership: Know how to listen and mobilise resources in a context of mutual respect, provide for growth in others and yourself, enlist and empower others, promote diversity and show empathy.
  • Work in close collaboration with all the professions, in particular Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE), Digital, Methods.
