Professional Responsibilities


Clayfield College teachers are responsible for supporting the Christian mission of the College through creating and maintaining effective learning environments that enhance the learning needs of all students.


As a teacher at Clayfield College you will:
- participate in Christian learning or service activities and model and advocate the Christian ethos of the College and the PMSA
- plan, prepare deliver and assess effective learning and teaching programs
- create and maintain productive learning environments which support the learning needs of students at the College
- contribute to the implementation of the College Strategic Plan
- contribute to the implementation of the School Improvement Plan
- support and contribute to the maintenance of the pastoral and spiritual ethos of the College
- display a thorough knowledge of contemporary pedagogy through excellent teaching practice, including the integration of technology.

  • Willingly and voluntarily contribute to the College cocurricular program.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Queensland teacher registration and relevant teaching qualifications and experience.
  • Compliance with the QLD Health Direction and the PMSA's COVID Vaccination Policy.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills required

  • All teaching staff must maintain current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
  • Relevant education degree.
  • Current First Aid and CPR (essential).
