About the role


Our client a leading Financial Services Organisation is looking for an experienced Data Migration Lead who will be reporting directly to the Project Director and collaborate closely with all initiative leads to oversee the data migration requirements of this organisation.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop a comprehensive plan for data migration, encompassing both production and nonproduction requirements, including considerations for size and timing.
  • Serve as the central point of engagement for each initiative lead to handle data transition requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues and serve as the main point of contact with the company for all data transition needs.
  • Ensure compliance with security requirements and adhere to the company's approved patterns.
  • Maintain a schedule of data transition requirements and regularly communicate status updates.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to manage data transmission and storage needs.
  • Ensure that integration requirements are properly configured to support the data migration requirements.

Requirements:


  • Possesses significant and relevant experience (8+ years) in Infrastructure Project Management or Data Migration, preferably within a complex regulatory environment with a focus on technology.
  • Demonstrates experience in coordinating across initiatives and project streams.
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of technical environments, system integration, and data transmission.
  • Exhibits strong skills in scope management, planning, implementation, as well as risk, assumption, issue, and dependency management.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively, making an impact with their communication.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities, including being trustworthy and respected, displaying collaborative behaviours, acting with integrity, addressing issues and escalations decisively, and being accessible and approachable.
  • Possesses negotiation and influencing skills at all levels, including up to the General Manager level.
