We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Information Compliance Team Leader at the Perth CBD Office on a Full-Time Permanent basis.
About this role
As the Information Compliance Team Leader, you will be required to lead and manage the performance of the Information Compliance Team to ensure Western Power meets its information management legislative requirements and in-turn minimises legal, reputational and information security risks.
You will also ensure that the end user's experience in interacting with business information is continuously improved to facilitate good business decision-making.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include the following:- Lead the Team in developing, implementing, maintaining and supporting strategies, systems and practices which facilitate enterprisewide compliance with information management legislative requirements and other relevant legislative obligations.
- Provide technical leadership to a Team of highly skilled information management professionals to ensure the Team's deliverables are effectively met.
- Lead the development and implementation of a matured strategic direction for the Team.
- Lead the Team in assessing, selecting and successfully implementing a new enterprisewide document management system that meets business requirements.
- Ensure Team resources are used effectively to meet the Team's strategic directives and deliverables.
- Lead and support the development of strategies to improve information management practices across the business and build the Team's profile within the broader business.
- Provide leadership to the Team to build engagement, and a mindset of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Lead and manage employee performance and the ongoing development of employees, including improving personal effectiveness of self and each member of the Team.
- Develop and manage positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- A bachelors' degree or a diploma or relevant accreditation in information management or equivalent with significant relevant experience.
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in information management or related discipline.
- Demonstrated success in leading a team in a complex working environment.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal that enable effective interaction with key stakeholders.
- Ability to plan and work to priorities and work independently to meet predetermined deliverables and outcomes within established timelines.
