An exciting opportunity at Swinburne University of Technology for an Executive Officer to join the ARC Centre of Excellence for Gravitational Wave Discovery (OzGrav).


The Executive Officer will play an important role in a collaborative and dynamic team by working within multiple projects and using their project management experience to assist the team in achieving their deliverables.

Part of this work may include grant and project management, reporting and strategic planning, policy development, optimisation and deployment of data and content management processes, and involvement in Centre meetings and events.

The Executive Officer will also have the opportunity develop and maintain stakeholder relationships through their work to support the execution of project activities.

This role reports to the OzGrav Chief Operating Officer and is offered as a full-time position, part-time negotiable.


About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Extensive experience in project management across a range of concurrent projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, liaise and work with people at all levels, both internal and external to the University with tact, maturity and appreciation of sensitive issues
  • Extensive experience in reviewing processes and procedures and implementing continuous improvement strategies
  • Excellent written communication skills including the ability to independently research and prepare reports, policy documents, and presentations, with considerable attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Completion of a bachelor degree with extensive relevant administration experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
