This is a _key_ and newly created role in which you will predominantly be responsible for promoting and driving customers' adoption of our industry leading eCommerce platforms & webstore.

You'll be a self-starter & a hunter, who can readily create rapport with people at all levels whilst keeping sight of the bigger picture you'll enjoy working in a fun, friendly environment with a feeling of belonging


This is an opportunity which can based anywhere out of Adelaide Metro & surrounds area, and will be servicing our base of branches within SA.


A few key parts to you your role:

  • Externally_
  • Promote and drive customers adoption of Rexel eCommerce platforms
  • Promote all eCommerce platforms to customers, with a strong focus on webstore
  • Identify and convert new eCommerce opportunities with new and existing customers
  • Conduct joint customer calls / visits with BDM or branch staff to promote eCommerce platforms
  • Assist to organise and present Rexel webstore to customers in branches during specific events
  • Articulate the value proposition of Rexel eCommerce platforms
  • Provide training / first level assistance to customers if needed (especially when setting up their account)
  • Internally_
  • Train staff and promote Rexel eCommerce platforms
  • Build and conduct staff training around Rexel eCommerce offer (focus on webstore, but also other platforms)
  • Be an active member on social media platforms (Yammer, Facebook, Linkedin)
  • Contribute to the development of Rexel eCommerce value proposition_
  • Get a good understanding of the value proposition of Rexel eCommerce platforms, and to which customer type / situation they would be suited (incl. webstore, EDI, simPRO/other business management software etc.)
  • Collect feedback from staff and customers and share with rest of eCommerce team
  • Provide input on eCommerce initiatives and priorities (e.g. customer journey on webstore, product category / range, fulfilment process in branches, marketing / promotion, etc.)

A bit about you

  • Ideally have a proven track record in sales, with the ability to sell face to face, over the phone and via video conferencing whilst knowing what approach is best for each customer in portfolio
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Industry experience and product knowledge within the electrical industry is desirable
  • Being able to work autonomously and as part of a team environment
  • Able to spark a conversation with all types of personalities
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (outlook, word, excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience in using CRM to manage sales, customers and sales territories
  • Willing and able to travel interstate from time to time
