John Holland, CPB Contractors and Ghella Joint Venture (JCG) has commenced design and construction work for the Sydney Metro West - Eastern Tunnelling Package (ETP).
ETP includes the construction of 3.5-kilometre tunnels under Sydney Harbour between The Bays and the Sydney CBD, and the excavation of Pyrmont and Hunter Street stations.

The role:
- Support the implementation of the Workforce Development and Industry Participation Plan focused on training implementation on behalf of the project staff and workforce.
- Liaise with Project Managers and Training Organisations for the scheduling of training courses.
- Support reporting requirements as needed.
- Ensure accurate records of employee training and competency within LMS systems for the Project.
- Support subcontractors with compliance to Sydney Metro Industry Curriculum (SMIC) requirement.
- Coordinate Preemployment programs in accordance with Sydney Metro Workforce Development Program Toolkit.
- Assist workforce in the implementation of training systems and processes.
- Coordinate initiatives for work experience placements, apprentices, and graduate placements.
- Track the return of statements of attainment from RTO's and follow up as needed.
- Coordinate training event logistics including sourcing vendors/suppliers, scheduling, booking, catering, venue and calendar management.
Skills and Experience:
- At least two years' experience in Learning and Development /HR generalist or similar role.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of relevant software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- A general understanding of the technology and systems associated with employee or training records management.
- Ability to build and develop good working relationships.
- Exposure to engineering, construction, manufacturing, or similar industry.
