About the role:


We currently have an exciting full-time opportunity for an Operational Interface Manager to join our growing team based in Sydney.


In this role, you will effectively lead the system integration development, planning and delivery of the Operational Readiness phases and deliverables for major rail infrastructure projects in New South Wales.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Provide expert advice and guidance to our clients and stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of the Operational Readiness phases and deliverables.
  • Ensure there is an integrated approach to the Operational Readiness phases.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on operational issues including the operational/technical constraints and implications of fitting new rolling stock with ETCS L2 equipment.
  • Be the lead point of contact for the Systems Integrator on the Operational Readiness phases.

Experience & Qualifications:

Essential

  • Railway experience including implementing significant change in train operations, train crewing and rolling stock fitment.
  • Experience in leading and managing rolling stock fitment and integration with ETCS L2 processes across a program lifecycle.
  • Experience in leading changes to rolling stock across a complex multidisciplinary program.
  • Experience in leading and managing the compilation and collation of evidence files and stagegate materials.
  • Ability to follow standards/procedures and ensure your activities are conducted in compliance with relevant administrative, financial, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Ability to follow internal reporting standards/conventions to support a client's financial, risk, safety, and audit objectives.
  • Ability to prioritise work and deliver to tight deadlines under pressure.
Desirable

  • Prior experience in the delivery of change, compliance and/or complex projects.
  • Formal risk and/or project management qualifications.
  • Ability to integrate various data sources into a single log for upward reporting.
  • Knowledge/experience of working in the Australian rail industry.
