As a closure officer you will support our team and customers in the management of the end stage of a portfolio of workers compensation claims, you will be liaising with a number of internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient closures of claims are completed to a high standard.

This will be a permanent, full time position based in the Newcastle office, with flexibility to work from home.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively manage the end stage claims process of a portfolio of workers compensation claims for workers who have experienced a workplace injury or illness, ensuring finalisation of all outstanding matters prior to closure to a high standard
  • Assist an injured person and employer with the workers compensation end stage claim process and provide support in the submission of relevant documents to finalise their claim
  • Make contact in a timely manner with the injured person and internal and external stakeholders over the phone to ensure outstanding queries are managed effectively and accurately prior to finalisation of the claim

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong organisational & attention to detail skills, you'll have the ability to understand how to multitask multiple priorities at once and manage your time to meet required timeframes
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service based role with a passion for helping people
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An empathetic, resilient, and motivational approach to provide outstanding service to both internal and external stakeholders
