This agency is known for having a great culture across different teams and have excellent office locations.A great opportunity for an experienced Freedom of Information Officer to join this busy team for a long term 12-month temporary assignment.
About the role:
- Undertaking procedures to assist a FOI Decision Maker to create, process and make FOI decisions, including complex and sensitive FOI decisions, and ensuring all matters and recorded and closed correctly on all databases in accordance with the FOI Act.
- Preparing and drafting a range of material including data reports, briefing material and correspondence, internal and external correspondence and formal decision letters.
- Providing quality assurance support, guidance and training to the FOI and/or PIA team.
- Providing administrative and project support to develop systems, processes and practical tools including training to support FOI and PIA handling and awareness.
- Undertaking procedures to assist a PIA Decision Maker to create, process, make and close PIAs and ensuring all matters are recorded and closed correctly on all databases where required.
- Assisting in preparing statistical reports for senior staff where required.
About you:
- You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office
- You will have experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will have ability to work within and across teams, the ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment.
- You will have ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- You will have ability to prioritise and allocate tasks in an efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
