The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to guide and support our services across Long Day Care, In-Home Care, and Family Day Care, ensuring we are meeting our commitment to quality childcare and meeting all National Quality Framework requirements.

We have two
Compliance Specialist opportunities available, being offered on a
full time basis.

Some of the key responsibilities these roles will look after include:


  • Developing and implementing compliance frameworks to support organisational strategy.
  • Liaising with relevant authorities as an Authorised Officer regarding NQF notifications and complaints.
  • Advising and supporting management on compliance throughout Assessment and Rating visits.
  • Policy development, review, and implementation across different care types in line with regulations.
  • Participating and supporting in compliance related investigations, complaint handling, and legislative compliance procedures.
  • Undertaking analysis of business processes and operations against regulatory and other frameworks.
  • Managing efficient compliance registers, working with compliance obligation owners and business units to identify obligations and appropriate controls.
  • Monitoring of an audit schedule to ensure compliance of the Uniting Early Learning portfolio.

Some of the things we are looking for:

  • Qualification in Early Childhood as approved by ACECQA (Diploma or higher)
  • Comprehensive experience in auditing, compliance and/or risk assurance
  • Experience in development compliance and/or policy frameworks
  • Experience in complaint handling and investigations
  • Experience in Long Day Care
  • Working knowledge of the ISO 19600 Compliance
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework including the Education and Care Services Law (Queensland) and Education and Care National Regulations
  • Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • Recognised qualification in auditing or compliance (certificate or higher)
  • In-Home Care and/or Family Day Care experience

Additional requirements:

  • Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card). Presentation of a current Suitability Card must be made before appointment to the position can be confirmed.
  • National Criminal History Check to be provided and assessed every three years. Presentation of a current National Criminal History Check must be made before appointment to the position can be confirmed.
  • Position requires some flexibility of hours and travel, as required.
  • You must be eligible to legally work in Australia.
