THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking an experienced Contracts and Procurement Principal, based out of the corporate office in West Perth. There will be a requirement to travel to site on a monthly basis.


Reporting to the Group Manager Contracts & Procurement, is responsible for the develop of systems and processes for the department and management of cost and risk outcomes in the Contracts and Procurement area as well as driving contractor behaviour to comply with agreed outcomes and deliver value for money to the business.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Comply with the Company Contract and Procurement policies and procedures and act within limits of delegated authority;
  • Assist with the leadership, shaping and modelling desired behaviors within the Contracts and Procurement team.
  • Establish and monitor benchmarks for the teams' performance and success.
  • Ensure contractual arrangements deliver value for money and protect the companies interests and scopes of work are capable of delivering contractual and operational outcomes.
  • Oversee and engage in tendering, negotiation, tender evaluation and awarding of contracts to deliver appropriate commercial outcomes for Pilbara Minerals
  • Assist with the identification and implementation of opportunities to reduce supply expenditure through innovative sourcing strategies.
  • In consultation with internal stakeholders, drive the selection of appropriate contract and procurement strategies within Pilbara Minerals

ABOUT YOU:


  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a contracts lead or higher position within the resources sector.
  • Experienced within the mining resources sector.
  • An understanding of Contract law and general law
  • Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • An academic qualification in contracts and procurement, supply chain, management, business or related discipline.
