Skilled in Truck Driving, Waste Services or looking to get a start?

Play a vital role in ensuring a quality waste collection and disposal service for the City of Canning and providing friendly customer service to the City's residents and customers.

Guided by a supportive supervisor and leadership team, we will train and assist you along every step of the way to ensure your long-term success in this role.

_ A snapshot of your new role:_

Operate a variety of plant and vehicles including (but not limited to) Sideloading Rubbish & Recycle trucks, Schaffer Loaders, and Rearloading Litter & Verge trucks
Collect vergeside green waste, including illegally dumped material
Litter collection, including park and street bins
Bin maintenance, including cleaning and bin deliveries

Who we're looking for:

- "HR" Truck license with proven experience driving heavy vehicles

Good driving history and ability to read maps and navigate
Reliable, enthusiastic and team orientated
Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks in a safe manner in all weather conditions
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
Waste industry experience, including Sideloading rubbish trucks will be highly regarded
Satisfactory National Police Clearance (under six months)
A fulltime permanent position that plays a big part in keeping Canning clean, safe and beautiful
Weekly RDO 4 day week & 9.5 hour days on a rotating roster
Opportunity for overtime and weekend penalties available, as required
5% paid Annual Leave Loading for when you take annual leave
