My client is a tier 1 owner operator who, in January 2023 requires a Mine Geologist.


This position's key responsibilities are:

  • Collate and maintain quality of Geology information; drill hole database, production database, drill cuttings & diamond core, stockpile reports, weekly reports.
  • Vulcan and Maptek software.
  • Work with the mining and processing team to achieve the desired outcomes by managing ore stocks effectively.
  • Train and supervise pit technicians; Ore Spotting, Ore Markouts.
  • Stockpile management, Correct mining methods and quality data collection.
  • Train and supervise Graduate Geologists; Data systems and management, Stockpile tracking and management, Geological mapping, Logging.
  • Reporting to the Senior Geologist, daily duties will include logging/ mapping/ inspections/ grade block outs.
This role is a contract position paying an hourly rate of $62.30 plus super.
