About the opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Cottonseed Trader who is interested in growing our business but also their career.

At the heart of this role is to provide trading support to the GM Cottonseed, as well as contract management.


Key accountabilities include:
- **Trading** - follow the pattern of buying & selling and look for opportunities.

Pricing - establish & communicate cottonseed price to the QC Cotton Grower Representative team and brokers

Procurement plan & execution - establishing the Australian cottonseed procurement plan, purchasing and selling cottonseed.

Stakeholder relationships - become a respected face of our company brand both with internal and external stakeholders.

Record & administration - timely and accurate sales and purchase contracts in SAP, reconciliation of orders, contracts and inventory, paperwork for access into different markets and commodities.

Manage risk - manage risk and credit limits.

QC has been supporting Australian agriculture for 100 years and operates in multiple products including cotton, cottonseed & pulses such as chickpeas and mung beans.

What you need to bring


Ideally you will already be a Trader with commodity sales and marketing experience and/or understanding of agricultural commodity and currency pricing.

You will also have knowledge of cotton, seed, grain or pulse industry.


You will most certainly have a genuine interest in working in supply chains, be mature-minded, a passionate and hardworking individual with strong negation and interpersonal skills.

Great time-management and prioritisation skills are a must, as well as problem solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of SAP, Excel and VBA are highly regarded.
