About the role:


  • Prepare and provide high level advice and support to senior officers of State Schools Division with respect to the development and state wide implementation of strategic policy initiatives as they relate to diverse learners, student guidance services, students with disability and student inclusion.
  • Initiate, lead and manage teams and projects to successfully develop strategic policy, guidelines and state wide service delivery implementation plans in the areas of diverse learners, guidance, student services, students with disability and student inclusion and wellbeing.
  • Undertake ongoing research and analysis of contemporary inclusive education processes and assessment and reporting procedures occurring at a state, national and commonwealth level, with a specific focus on diverse learners, guidance, students with disability and student inclusion and wellbeing.
  • Implement and evaluate environmental scanning to identify policy gaps and develop appropriate response strategies, including the preparation of major policy papers, briefings, reports, submissions and articles.
  • Establish performance and accountability frameworks including indicators, measures and reporting regimes related to student services support, and impact and influence on regional schools.

When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
