Description

The Program Officer - Biodiversity Conservation Areas will work in a multi-disciplinary team and support the implementation of the Melbourne Strategic Assessment (MSA) Program.

The role has a particular focus on securing land for conservation and implementing projects and processes aimed at ensuring best practice adaptive management is implemented across the program.

You will translate management response models and research into priority conservation actions, advice, and guidelines for action by land managers.

You will also liaise with key stakeholders such as Parks Victoria, Melbourne Water, environmental groups, and landowners.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in environmental science and/or significant experience in environmental science or natural resource management (preferably ecology or similar) is mandatory for this position.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
