Network Assets & Assurance (NA&A) team at Metro includes more than 2000 people from Infrastructure, Innovation, Engineering, Rolling Stock, OCMS (Operational Control Management Systems), Strategic Asset Management and Planning and Integration.

ABOUT THE ROLE


The OCMS Contractual Claims and Variations Analyst is a critical role within the OCMS, primarily responsible for managing and facilitating the process of contractual claims and variations associated with OCMS related projects.

The Analyst will collaborate closely with OCMS stakeholders, Projects division, Finance and commercial leaders, and the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) to ensure the smooth development, submission, and validation of contractual claims.

This role will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, optimising OCMS claims processes, and contributing to the achievement of organizational KPIs and objectives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with OCMS stakeholders to develop Schedule 3 claims and preliminary estimates for OCMS projects.
  • Interface with the Commercial and Finance leads to ensure the timely and accurate submission of Contractual Claims and Contract Variations to DTP.
  • Quality check and validate claim Net Financial Impacts, working closely with supporting leads to identify cost areas accurately.
  • Lead the submission of OCMS claims to DTP, overseeing the process and managing any necessary resubmissions.
  • Maintain an OCMS Master Claims Register, ensuring proper change management and comprehensive reporting.
  • Track and report the status of Schedule 3 claims across OCMS projects, providing regular updates.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets related to contractual claims and variations.

ABOUT YOU

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Science or equivalent
  • Experience in financial modelling and preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
  • Ability to extract, analyse and present data in a clear and concise manner.
