Based out of our
Laverton or Dandenong branch, you will be responsible for leading and growing our Cat Rental business across Victoria and Tasmania.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the General Manager - Equipment Sales, you will manage the Cat Rental business to achieve the required sales revenue, growth targets and utilisation measures.
You will be responsible for leading, inspiring, and coaching 5 direct reports, as well as a team of 15 experienced and dedicated individuals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring customer service excellence standards are met or exceeded
- Ensuring value for money for customers by overseeing the utilisation of available resources, facilities, systems, plant and equipment
- Overall responsibility for assets and fleet to ensure company's KPI's are met or exceeded
- Driving your team to deliver on objectives and key performance indicators
- Ownership of marketing initiatives
- Maintaining a collaborative relationship between your team, Caterpillar, customers, suppliers and other departments
- Actively engaging in and representing Cat Rental within industry associations, events and customer activities.
- Ensuring business is conducted in accordance with our Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures

You have a demonstrated ability to use your superior engagement, negotiating and influencing skills with people, to achieve agreed strategic objectives.
You will ideally have the following skills, experience, and attributes:
- Extensive experience in Sales & Operations leadership, ideally in the heavy machinery industry
- Ability to develop long term internal and external customer relationships
- Strong project, people, and commercial management skills
- Sound conflict resolution, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Dedicated commitment to safety and quality work practices
- Formal qualifications in sales, marketing or business would be considered favorably
