About the role:

The Victoria Police Talent, Attraction and Programs Team (TAPT) sits within the Recruitment Portfolio in the Human Resources Command.


It is a very exciting time to join TAPT as a new recruitment campaign 'Made for more' is in full swing with a particular focus on police attraction and recruitment.


TAPT works directly with prospective applicants seeking a career with Victoria Police and oversees employment programs and pathways for all roles across the organisation.


As the successful applicant, you will help TAPT build the workforce of the future by employing people who are aligned to the Victoria Police values and that have the attributes, skills and experience required to serve the community in different roles across the organisation.

Your duties will include:


  • Developing marketing and communication assets for all roles and employment programs across Victoria Police, particularly for the Police Officer role.
  • Working collaboratively with recruitment teams and Media Communications & Engagement Department (MCED) to develop communication that is factual, relevant, and effective.
  • Working collaboratively with MCED before, during and after planned recruitment campaigns and during noncampaign periods.
  • Working collaboratively with the other personnel in TAPT responsible for executing targeted attraction activities.
  • Attending career exhibitions, events, secondary schools and tertiary institutions to promote all roles and employment programs within Victoria Police.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a communication and/or event, marketing roles.
  • Sound communication skills, developing appealing and effective marketing and communications copy for diverse audiences.
  • High attention to detail, be creative and able to collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
  • The proven ability to work on multiple projects and attraction initiatives simultaneously in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
  • Selfmotivated with a positive attitude.
- be available to travel to events across regional and metro Victoria and to transport material and event equipment to specific locations not accessible via public transport
- be available to work the occasional afternoon shift/weekends


Requirements and relevant information:


  • One (1) x fulltime, fixed term, until 31 October 2024 position available.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
