Here are the key responsibilities of the role:
Ensure that all digital infrastructure is delivered in accordance with policy, laws, industry standards, best practice;
Identify risks and issues and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure key project deliverables are achieved and the overall integrity of the project/s are maintained;
Provide expertise and advice to the Digital Program Manager and project team;
Scrutinise all digital infrastructure aspects of the designs, implementation and commissioning proposals received from commercial partners / contractors and subcontractors for appropriateness in accordance with the Project Deeds;
Develop documentation as required under the Project Deeds and maintain accurate record management systems to ensure integrity and auditability;
Support the Digital Program Manager in the resolution of changes, issues and disputes, including management of the input from advisors;
Provide specialist support to the project team in relation to developing and reviewing project documentation and correspondence, to ensure legal and technical positions are acceptable to the State;
Provide input into the preparation of timely and high quality briefs, reports, business cases and advice, including those required by the Digital Program Manager; and

Build and maintain strong relationships between all stakeholders to ensure positive working partnerships focussed on delivering the Programs objectives.


The key requirements of this role are as follows:
Have recent experience in new hospital projects (ideally within Queensland Health) and understand the commercial constructs under which the digital scope is delivered;
Have a proven track record of the project management, design and delivery of digital scope within recent new hospital projects;
Have a deep technical understanding of one or more of the following digital domains and solutions;
Core Facility Infrastructure - inform the design and commissioning of communications rooms, structured cabling, antenna systems, etc.;

Wired and Wireless Network - inform the design and commissioning of the digital network and the establishment of connectivity with external organisations and telecommunications providers.

Gather and provide user and device information to enable the low-level configuration of the digital network and systems;
Telephony and Messaging - inform the design and commissioning of telephony and messaging solutions including wired and wireless handset devices;
End User Computing - inform the procurement / transition and installation of fleet computers, printers and other end user devices including profiling and software deployment / configuration;
Servers and Storage - inform the provisioning of server and storage capacity;
Audio Visual - inform the design and commissioning of audio visual solutions;
Facility Systems - inform the design and commissioning of facility systems including nurse call, patient entertainment, location services, check-in systems, digital wayfinding etc and their integration with State systems and the telephony and messaging platforms;
Engineering Systems - inform the design and commissioning of engineering systems including BMS, Access Control, Security, etc.;
Biomedical Systems - inform the design and commissioning of biomedical systems; and

Quality & Testing - coordinate the testing, reporting, change management and documentation of digital components.

This role will be majority work from home with some onsite time required at key project milestones.
