About the Department of Education:

The Department of Education (DoE) delivers world class education services for people at every stage of their personal and professional development across Queensland.

The Early Childhood and State Schooling Division is responsible for the management and coordination of early childhood and care programs including the approval and regulation of day-care services, kindergarten programs and outside school hours care.

Responsibilities include:
As a Manager in Monitoring and Compliance, you will:

lead a team of Principal and Senior Regulatory Officers to plan and conduct high level investigations;

- providing legislative, compliance-related and strategic advice to senior officers and regional colleagues;
- plan and undertake targeted monitoring activities including investigations and associated enforcement activities;
- manage complaints;
- prepare high level documentation to support quality administrative decision making;
- conduct statutory internal reviews;
- guide regulatory staff, including in regional offices, in undertaking regulatory functions; and
- represent the Regulatory Authority in internal and external forums.
