About the Role
To join the Production team in a planning role, we are seeking a safety focused, adaptable, proactive, and
positive individual who is willing to learn with a can-do attitude.
plant environment, helping the production team to fulfil all operational work during planned outages. You will
receive on-the-job training and guidance by an experienced and supportive Production team.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working an attractive residential roster (5 days on, 2 days off).
Responsibilities include:
- liaise with the plant Production Coordinators and develop operational shutdown plans;
- provide the Production team with a planned, prioritised and sequenced schedule of tasks to be carried
out during all planned plant outages;
- identify all operational parts and labour required during the planned outage;
- coordinate planned work with the Permit Officer to ensure all permits are identified and issued prior to
the planned shut;
- plan work so that resources are utilised, and plant shuts are kept to a minimum;
- identify parts improvement opportunities which reduce cost, improve operating efficiency or shorten
plant downtime;
- assist in the creation of the annual budget and that of the long-term period;
- provide the Production Coordinator with reports of production work status during a planned outage; and
- attend Maintenance and Production Planning meetings to inform on maintenance and production
activities, ensure that any potential work clashes are managed.
- experience in a continuous mineral processing industry, mining or heavy industry environment;
- experience in a planning function or similar proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary functions;.
- knowledge of planning principles and procedures;
- strong orientation to safe work practices;
- analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills; and
- highly developed communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
