The Role
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all routine safety and quality tasks required by the client's management systems (Quality and HSE) are completed as scheduled.
- This role is required to support the plant production team to ensure that all site activities are conducted safely and that all products are manufactured to the required quality level. Prepare tenders and assist in the management of projects to go live stage.
- While this role is based at a specific site and reports primarily to site management, the incumbent will also report to the National Safety and Quality Management team(s) as required. Analysis of business performance, including profitability, revenue, pricing structures, and cost of commercial agreements.
- Manage routine safety tasks such as induction, competency assessments, incident management, risk assessments, hazard identification, and corrective action followups. Supporting General Manager by conducting an analysis of commercial opportunities prior to a bid.
- Use, complete, and manage all required HSE documentation such as JSA's, incident reports, near misses, etc, and follow company escalation procedures if required.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL NEED
- Experience in a highvolume production/manufacturing plant is desirable, or another highrisk or system/processdriven environment.
- Experience in the precast concrete industry is desirable but not required
- Cert IV in WHS
- ICAM Investigation Training (or willingness to complete while on the job)
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (desirable but not required)
- Ability to selfmanage routine tasks when in a dynamic environment.
- Awareness of safety standards and legislation to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Lead auditor (or willingness to complete while on the job)
