Founded in 1973 by a group of local residents to create a forum for community and development on social issues, Community First Step (CFS) is now operating in its 50th year.
The Opportunity
This newly created Executive Manager of Fund raising and Partnerships position is at the heart of Community First Steps' mission to further its impact within the community.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Lead Fundraising Initiatives: Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure significant investment and drive longterm sustainability for Community First Step.
- Cultivate Strategic Partnerships: Identity, strengthen, and manage stakeholder relationships, explore collaboration opportunities, and establish corporate, philanthropic, and government partnerships to support the organisation's mission.
- Drive Social Impact: Play a vital role in articulating the organisation's value proposition and impact through involvement in the social impact program of work, ensuring that funds raised directly contribute to the community's growth and wellbeing.
About You
For this appointment, we are seeking an experienced individual with a proven track record in achieving revenue growth through diverse fund-raising strategies.
- Fundraising: Proven track record of experience in fundraising.
- Nonprofit/Community Services Sector knowledge: Knowledge of the nonprofit sector, its challenges, and opportunities for fundraising within this context.
- Partnerships: Previous experience in developing and managing partnerships for fundraising purposes.
- Strategic Planning: Strong ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies to deliver sustained investment and income growth.
- Government Relations: Experience in engaging with government agencies for funding or collaboration.
- Social Impact Measurement: Familiarity with impact assessment methodologies and tools to evaluate and communicate the social outcomes of fundraising efforts.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated success in building and maintaining broad stakeholder relationships including corporations, foundations, government agencies, and community members.
- Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial management within a fundraising context.
