About the role
The Approvals Manager reports to the Senior Precinct Approvals Manager and is responsible for managing a team of people developing complex planning approvals documentation for the project's precinct planning, in collaboration with project teams and external advisers.
The Approvals Manager will have a proven ability to successfully draft planning documentation and a strong knowledge of Victorian planning legislation and frameworks.
As the Approvals Manager you will be responsible for:- Lead a high-performing team fostering a team environment that produces alignment and team focus, mentoring and coaching employees to succeed in their role and achieve business outcomes
- Develop highquality planning documentation that meets SRLA project objectives within program requirements and achieves structure planning outcomes along the SRL East corridor, in close collaboration with project teams and technical and legal advisors.
- Provide highquality technical advice to planning issues and develop appropriate solutions.
- Participate in public consultation processes and contribute to planning assessment processes associated with structure planning for the project.
- Engage with external decisionmakers and stakeholders such as DTP, Victorian Government agencies and Councils to ensure timely solutions for planning documentation.
