Experienced Mental Health Support Workers

  • Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with intellectual impairments? We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Disability Support Workers to join our team in the Gold Coast area. This position requires working closely with participants who enjoy a range of activities and require support in their daily life._

Essential for the role:


  • Valid work rights in Australia
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • Current Blue Card/Yellow Card/ Worker Screening Check
  • Queensland driver's license
  • Minimum of Certificate 3 in Disability / Mental Health/ Individual Support / Aged Care / Nursing / Health Services Assistant Or be a current Nursing student (should have completed Cert III equivalent placements) _
    or willingness to obtain_

Experience working with adults with intellectual impairments is highly desirable._


About the role...
Within this role you will be expected to perform direct care duties with compassion and professionalism


These duties may include:

  • Assistance with daily hygiene (showering, dressing, toilet)
  • Assistance in meal preparation and shopping

Supervision of medication

  • Daily activities such as washing or cleaning
  • Transporting to appointments
  • Facilitating community participation and inclusion
  • Providing companionship and support
  • Prompting positive routines and behaviours in a cooperative and respective manner
  • Following Care Plans and assisting in working towards NDIS goals,
