About the Role
This is an L5 Commercial Strategy role that sits in the APAC Sales Operations regional team.

This role calls for a combination of strategic vision, data-based insights generation, cross functional partner management, and on-the-ground operational execution.


As a Commercial Strategy & Planning Lead, you will help us refine the APAC Sales Operations support model for the Commercial sales teams across APAC, participate in high-impact projects, and influence the strategic direction of the APAC Sales Operations team.


The ideal person for this role has outstanding planning and organizing skills, a big appetite to optimize processes, and synthesize insights to guide senior leadership's decision-making.

You will also develop strategies to improve internal communication, processes and mandates, author strategic initiatives, explore sophisticated business issues and develop the respective action plans


This role will work closely with General Managers, Sales leadership, regional stakeholders, and global Product & Systems teams to optimize commercial performance and measurability.


The Impact You'll Have

  • Observe: Collaborate with different country, regional, and global teams to identify high priority commercial needs across sales teams, determine how the APAC Sales Operations team can support, and then prioritise across the team. Streamline the roles & responsibilities within the APAC Sales Operations team to determine the best support model with the current headcount; this includes determining which tasks can be done centrally and what needs to be owned at the countrylevel.
  • Ideate: Drive insights from reviewing sales compensation plans, sales behaviours and sales output, make and facilitate actions to optimise sales performance.
  • Advocate: Drive APAC input into the Global Sales Operations Transformation project, a project aimed to uplevel the capabilities of the Sales Operations team globally.
  • Operationalize: Evaluate fragmented Sales Operations support across APAC and build, launch, run, and scale solutions across the team that enable impact targeted at the Delivery business priorities.

The Experience You'll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in management consulting, banking, professional services or inhouse strategy/operations roles in a fastpaced environment
  • Critical and structured thinking, with a natural curiosity and confidence to seek out answers, and propose solutions where there may not yet be an answer
  • Exceptional communicator across written and spoken communications, with an ability to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts
  • Strong project management skills, comfortable working independently
  • Fluency with data analytics, statistical methods, SQL proficiency required
