About the Role

Exciting opportunity for a Screen Operational Officer to join Create NSW within the Department of Enterprise Investment & Trade, based in Sydney.


Part of the Department of Enterprise, Industry and Trade cluster, Create NSW focusses specifically on achieving the NSW Government's priority of fostering excellence in arts, music, screen and culture in NSW.

We work collaboratively with artists and arts workers, the arts and cultural sector and our partners within government to provide a range of support services including management of grants of varying scales to recipient government and non-government organisations; overseeing more than $2.5b in cultural infrastructure projects to create the spaces where arts can flourish; and managing a portfolio of arts and heritage properties predominantly leased to cultural organisations.

Screen NSW is established to assist, promote and strengthen the screen industry in NSW.

Through its funding programs and skilled staff, Screen NSW:


  • Supports the screen production sector to make quality projects that create jobs and grow stable businesses in NSW.
  • Provides advice and information to improve capability in the sector and enable industry practitioners to participate in the global industry.
  • Funds and promotes new forms of screen content and use of technology.
  • Collaborates with industry to create opportunities; and
  • Facilitates all aspects of filming in NSW to make it the most attractive state for screen production.
The Screen Program Operational Officer provides administrative support for Screen NSW grant and funding programs. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the shaping of arts and culture across the state.


Key accountabilities include:

  • Undertaking activities to ensure timely and efficient development, delivery and maintenance of administration and data/information systems relevant to grants and funding programs.
  • Support data collection, management and analysis, and presentation of data.
  • Efficient administration of accurate correspondence, reporting, communications and briefs that respond to agency and/or Government requests.
  • Support reviews and program evaluation of Screen NSW funding programs that drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across Create NSW and the wider Agency to ensure integration and alignment of Screen NSW plans and activities.
  • Support and maintain constructive relationships with all stakeholders to facilitate collaboration, foster support and effectively represent Screen NSW.

About You


To be successful for this role, you can deliver on multiple tasks concurrently and accurately in a fast-paced environment with mínimal direction and supervision.

Your sound knowledge of film, television and online screen sectors and experience with grants administration and SmartyGrants systems will be highly valued.
