The Position

St John of God Subiaco Hospital is the oldest and biggest hospital in our group, having been established in 1898. With 600 beds, it is one of Australia's most respected providers of health care services and an internationally renowned leader in clinical trials and research.
SJG Subiaco Hospital is also a leader in innovation and adoption of new technologies, including the implementation of robotic surgical devices and virtual reality imaging technology. Our hospital is located in the heart of Subiaco close to stylish cafes, boutiques and with easy access to the train station.


As an experienced
Barista you will consistently produce a high standard of hot and cold beverages in a busy, high-volume environment.

Engage well with café customers by delivering a high standard of hospitality and service whilst operating in a timely manner and strive to exceed customer expectations through proven experience with adjusting the grind, milk texturing, pouring and making latte art.

This position is being offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 76 hours a fortnight, across 7 days.

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Proven experience in consistently producing a high standard of hot and cold beverages in a busy, highvolume environment.
  • Demonstrated skills in adjusting the grind, milk texturing, pouring and making latte art.
  • A thorough knowledge of uptodate coffee trends, including a willingness to learn new coffee production skills.
  • Have an eye for detail and a keen sense of wanting to please customers.
  • Familiar with the maintenance and service needs of coffee making equipment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Ability to engage well with café customers by delivering a high standard of hospitality and service whilst operating in a timely manner.
  • A high standard of personal presentation and punctuality.
  • Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of basic manual handling principles and be physically capable of undertaking duties including the carrying of meals/coffee, lifting and being on feet for considerable periods during the working day.
  • Must be available for a range of shifts (morning and afternoon) across a 7day operation.

Salary: $58,110 - $60,862 per annum + 11% superannuation:
