About the role:


As a Policy and Projects Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping workforce strategies, driving policy development, and leading projects that contribute to economic growth and productivity.

This involves providing policy advice, engaging with stakeholders, and developing regional workforce strategies and industry workforce plans. You will collaborate on cross-agency initiatives and contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of workforce initiatives and projects.

Key Selection Criteria:


  • Providing high level strategic policy advice, including evidencebased briefings, reports and proposals to guide and inform workforce outcomes for regions and industries.
  • Coordinating and supporting the development of regional workforce strategies and industry workforce plans in critical and emerging sectors, which contribute to the achievement of workforce objectives and State government priorities.
  • Coordinating crossagency, crossgovernment and external stakeholder input into the workforce strategies, roadmaps and projects, including establishing and coordinating advisory groups with government, industry and regional stakeholders.
  • Coordinating and supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of workforce initiatives and projects that contribute to economic growth and productivity, including program designed contract management.

Remuneration:

ASO6 $95,588 pa to $101,109 pa plus superannuation or

ASO7 $104,938 pa to $113,435 pa plus superannuation or

ASO8 $117,554 pa to $121,992 pa plus superannuation

Special Conditions:


  • The role will be offered on a term contract for a period of 12 months
  • Satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check (NPC) required prior to employment.
