The role
Bis is seeking a proactive, experienced

Injury Support Advisor to join our Workers Compensation & Injury Support Team at any one of our offices in North Sydney, Brisbane or Perth.

Reporting to the Group Manager - People Projects, you will support and provide advice on effective injury management and the return-to-work process, as part of the national workers compensation team


As a trusted professional, you will drive positive RTW outcomes by:

  • Partnering with operational teams, medical professionals and providers to identify suitable duties, prepare and update RTW Plans for injured workers; and
  • Actively sharing knowledge, and advice, and coaching others to build and develop injury management capabilities to create a highperforming environment.
  • Record rehabilitation data in an injury management system to meet reporting requirements.
  • Actively manage health and occupational rehabilitation providers in relation to the appropriateness of treatment and adherence to legislative requirements.
  • Provide education & training to key stakeholders on rehabilitation, early intervention strategies and return to work.

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • At least 2 years experience in injury management and workplace-based rehabilitation
  • Previous experience in workers' compensation, especially Commonwealth jurisdiction (SRC Act) well regarded
  • Allied Health background is highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of Comcare scheme
  • Ideally exposure to the Logistics, Mining or Resource industry
  • Experience in consulting with workers, supervisors and medical providers to develop RTW plans.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, in an appropriate, timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to collect, analyse and report on worker's compensation and injury management trends.
  • Computer skills including knowledge of SolvInjury database; and
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
