Our client is a federal government agency. They have multiple positions for an EL1 Assistant Director, to join the Communications team in a long-term contracting opportunity.
- 12 month initial contract with likely extensions
- Geelong based role, with 2 days per week workfromhome
- Daily rate of $602 + Super is on offer
The role
As the EL1 Assistant Director, Communications the available positions sit within the Communications & Engagement division.
- Contributing to the strategic direction of projects and business improvement initiatives, driving the strategic and coordinated management of targeted communications and engagement activities.
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders through a communications and engagement business partnering model within the NDIA, guiding the team with best practice ways to provide advice, quality assurance and support to business areas to meet their communication objectives.
- Leading staff to deliver timely, innovative, efficient and evidencebased communications and engagement strategies, plans, content and activities that support NDIA Corporate Plan objectives.
- Using reporting metrics to review the impact of communication and engagement activity and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Preparing highquality, clear and accessible written content that meets the needs of participants and other audiences and aligns with the NDIS brand.
- Scanning and interpreting a complex government and social landscape to identify and mitigate reputational risks associated with, communication and engagement activities.
- Identifying and mitigate reputational risks associated with communication, engagement and business activities.
- Fostering creativity and innovation in content creation across a range of channels, sharing best practice and new skills in the team.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in the aged care sector with an understanding of YPIRAC
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to quickly adapt, and work with competing priorities
- Problem solving with evidence of critical thinking, decision making and information processing
- Relationship management
- Strategic communications advice, planning and development, preferably with an internal focus.
