About the role:


Leading our Scrum Master Chapter and community of practice, the
Scrum Master Chapter Lead has a deep level of knowledge and expertise in Lean and Agile values and practices, with a proven record of accomplishment as a practitioner and a passion for leading and supporting people to be their best.


The Scrum Master Chapter Lead is the custodian of the approaches and methods relating to their Chapter capabilities across all areas of ITS, to better support the design, delivery, and maintenance of digital products and services managed within our Value Streams.

They will mentor and develop staff within the Scrum Master Chapter, fostering a culture of excellence and maintaining a focus on achieving outcomes.


Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the new Scrum Master Chapter within ITS.
  • Use a datadriven approach to develop and track effective Lean and Agile team and organisational metrics, including baselining and benchmarking.
  • Uplift and continually improve the mindset and practices that support delivery and operations of our digital products and solutions.
  • Introduce and maintain industry best practice standards around Lean and Agile ways of working within the context of the ANU.
  • Mentor and coach members of the Scrum Master Chapter to support achievement of organisational and personal goals.
  • Collaborate closely with other Chapter Leads, Value Stream Leads, and Delivery Leads, including assisting with workforce planning and recruitment activities.
