The Role


The Housing team is responsible for leading a diverse range of residential developments, requiring a collaborative and innovative approach to delivery.

The Development Manager role will have a focus on the LUMA Sunshine North project.

This project will provide approximately 300 townhouses consisting of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms suitable to a range of households as well as a commercial, retail and mixed use superlot designed to support the proposed residential development as well as the neighbouring Sunshine health and education precincts.


This role will support and manage the development team through different phases of the project including planning, design, construction, marketing, and sales phases (residential / commercial) in accordance with Development Victoria's strategic objectives, policies and processes.


About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Property Development, Construction or Project Management discipline
  • Experience managing both the procurement and ongoing performance of consultants and contractors in accordance with Government policy
  • Experience managing and leading a small team of property development professionals
  • Proven ability and experience in planning, organising and coordinating planning, design, construction and marketing of built form developments
  • Experience in the preparation and analysis of financial feasibility studies, programs, budgets and cost monitoring to achieve commercial outcomes
  • Experience in the preparation and presentation of complex reports and briefs using clear, concise and coherent language
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), MS Project and Adobe Pro, or PDFbased programs
