Mental Health Support Worker Female - experienced with high intensity
Magnus Health is an NDIS registered company dedicated to providing exceptional in home support to individuals with disability. We are currently seeking suitably experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team in the Redland Bay area.

This is a casual position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of participants with a range of mental and physical disabilities.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide highquality support and care to individuals with disability
  • Work with participants who have mental health conditions
  • Utilise your experience in highintensity environments to effectively manage challenging situations
  • Assist participants in their daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment for participants, promoting their independence and wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate documentation including incident reports and shift notes
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations

Essential:


  • Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker in mental health and highintensity environments
  • Strong understanding of mental health conditions and the challenges faced by individuals in these settings
  • A respectful, compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work on a casual basis, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
  • Minimum of Certificate 3 in Disability / Mental Health/ Individual Support / Aged Care / Nursing / Health Services Assistant Or be a current Nursing student (should have completed Cert III equivalent placements)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Valid Qld Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Valid work rights in Australia

Experience working with adults with Dementia, Huntington's disease or other complex mental health conditions is highly desirable._

  • 6am 2pm
  • 2pm 10pm
  • 10pm 6am
