About the role


The Sterilising Technician is responsible for providing sterilisation services to facilitate the operation of the department, wards and other needs as required.

The position works within the relevant Australian Standards, ISO Standards and Infection Control guidelines to deliver a professional standard of service.


Reporting to the CSSD Manager, the Sterilising Technician understands and maintains knowledge for the operation of the specialised cleaning and sterilisation equipment.

This is a part-time permanent position located at Lenah Valley Hospital.

What you bring

Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of Infection Control will be highly regarded

Demonstrated time management and organisational skills

Sound communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated experience working in a team environment and/or autonomously

Sound literacy, numeracy skills and appropriate knowledge of medical terminology skills
