  • Salary Package: From $88,589 $97,787 AUD (HEW 6), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading
  • Appointment Type: Full time, Continuing
  • Location: Macquarie University (North Ryde)

THE ROLE


We are seeking a well-organised and experienced Education Support Officer to provide advice and support to academic staff in relation to the delivery and coordination of courses and units for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Macquarie Business School.


Reporting to the Course Support Team Leader and working within our course support team, this role will contribute to the quality of course delivery and student experience by providing accurate and timely advice and support to Course Directors, Discipline Chairs, Heads of School or Department and Unit Convenors on all matters relating to the delivery and administration of course and units.

The role will be responsible for the coordination of operational and administrative support across the lifecycle of a course/courses, as well as working with academic staff to coordinate annual planning, committee meetings, timetabling and acting as a point of contact for teaching staff.


ABOUT YOU


You will have an excellent knowledge of tertiary education policies, processes and course/unit governance structures and proven expertise in providing policy advice and information, preferably within a higher education setting.

You will also have demonstrated experience in supporting the delivery of education and/or complex student services settings.


Your ability to manage multiple tasks, competing deadlines and adaptability to changing circumstances will be essential to the smooth running of the position.

Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus and ability to work effectively with committees and stakeholders at all levels will be key to success in this role.

APPLY- Degree or tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/ or equivalent experience- Knowledge of tertiary education policies, processes and course/unit governance structures- Strong customer service focus and ability to work effectively with committees and stakeholders- Experience in providing advice and information regarding policies, preferably within a higher education setting- Experience in providing support and advice in the delivery of education and/or complex student services settings.- Experience in developing annual planning documentation and project plans- Experience in providing data analysis and high-quality administrative support- Time management and organisational skills, and ability to coordinate and deliver on competing deadlines- Experience in proactively developing and implementing administrative process improvement Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft papers or submissions.
