The Academic Affairs portfolio is comprised of an executive leadership team, 12 Schools, and supporting professional staff.

It operates to ensure the University achieves its strategic commitment to excellence in teaching, learning and research, and builds a suite of quality academic programs.


To support the strategic commitments of Academic Affairs in 2024, we are seeking expressions of interest in
temporary appointments/secondments (up to a maximum of six months) in the professional role of Academic Program Support Officer within one of the administrative functions of Academic Affairs (Academic Program Support (APS)).


What you'll do:


Working as a member of the APS team, you will provide a range of functions to support students, academics and partners, ensuring an effective student experience and achievement of academic outcomes.


This may include:

  • Providing support for complex student enrolment, progression and course and program information as well as implementation of course and program changes.
  • Providing support to academic partnerships for Third Party Arrangement Partners and Pathway Partners.
  • Providing support for timetabling, quota management, enrolment issues, residential schools, teaching schools and education partner activities.
  • Providing support for practical placement activities including liaison with Work Integrated Learning providers, payment processes, verification of compliance requirements, and allocation of students to a variety of placement settings.
  • Providing support for maintenance and facilitation of review of Academic Affairs course and program information relevant to accreditation and delivery of academic programs and course specifications.

  • An ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders such as students, academics, external agencies and partners.
  • A highlevel ability to achieve positive relationships with customers from a diverse set of backgrounds.
  • Ability to problemsolve issues that may arise to ensure the experience of students and external agencies are meeting UniSQ's expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including an ability to draft accurate and concise correspondence.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative.

Salary:
Salary of $2,878 to $3,264 (full-time) per fortnight plus employee superannuation of 17% and annual leave loading
