Laundry Hand - Residential Aged Care - Moonee Ponds, VIC

We are looking for Laundry staff to join us on a
Permanent Part Time basis at our Moonee Ponds Home This opportunity is a
maternity leaver cover.

About your role:

As a member of our Domestic team, you will have previous experience in:

Creating a clean and safe living environment, demonstrating an understanding of and ability to execute infection control initiatives
Commercial laundry operations with loads of up to 20 kgs

You will be in contact with our residents, and will therefore hold strong communication skills combined with the ability to build positive and warm working relationships with both the residents and colleagues, while working to ensure the safety of yourself, residents and colleagues.

What You'll Do:

Contribute to a clean and safe working environment to ensure the safety of our residents, visitors and staff
Cleaning and sorting of residents' clothing
Understand and execute infection control initiatives
Ensure all cleaning tasks meet CraigCare Standards

What You'll Bring:

Organised, cando attitude to what can be a physically demanding team environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility to work varying
AM & PM shifts across the week
Sound knowledge of Cleaning Protocols
Previous experience in Aged Care facilities is highly desirable

Essential Requirements:

Current Police check clearance (or willing to obtain)
Proof of Work rights in Australia
Proof of COVID Vaccination certificate (2 doses + booster dose)
Proof of Flu vaccination (current year)
