Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive community engagement strategies tailored to specific project locations and stakeholder needs.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local community leaders, residents, and organizations, acting as a primary point of contact for community inquiries and concerns.
- Organize and facilitate regular community meetings, workshops, and events to foster dialogue, gather feedback, and address community priorities and interests.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure that community perspectives are incorporated into decisionmaking processes and project planning, development, and execution.
- Identify opportunities for community investment, partnership, and capacitybuilding initiatives that align with our client's values and contribute to positive social impact.
- Lead the development and implementation of social impact assessments, community needs assessments, and other tools to evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement activities and inform ongoing strategy refinement.
- Monitor and respond to emerging issues, trends, and concerns within project communities, working proactively to mitigate risks and build trust.
- Represent our client at external forums, conferences, and community events to enhance visibility, share best practices, and build partnerships for mutual benefit.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as community development, environmental studies, sociology, or communications. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of years of experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, corporate social responsibility, or related fields, preferably in the energy sector or other infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful community engagement strategies, including experience working with diverse stakeholders and addressing complex community issues.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive positive outcomes in challenging situations.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of social impact assessment methodologies, community development principles, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites and attend community events outside of regular working hours.
