Your New Role
***As a key member of University Advancement, the

Alumni and Development Coordinator - Science and Engineering will form part of a thriving team who focus predominately on the Faculty of Science and Engineering and its initiatives with great community impact.


We are seeking a creative, hardworking, and enthusiastic relationship specialist to develop and coordinate the alumni and stewardship program for the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

In addition, the incumbent will focus on developing and leveraging existing relationships to entice the Faculty's supporters and graduates to enhance their engagement with Curtin.

The role will create ways for the Faculty to meaningfully thank our supporters and connect alumni to opportunities to give back through volunteerism and philanthropy in support of the Faculty's strategic priorities.


This position will also coordinate regular communications, deliver strategically aligned events, activities and other initiatives to increase meaningful engagement with alumni and community.

The incumbent will have the opportunity to support the overall Advancement team with a variety of exciting responsibilities, as we all pitch in to help where needed.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A personal passion to truly make a difference, who is driven through building and nurturing strong relationships and fostering an inclusive, warm, and welcoming environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and oral communication skills to liaise effectively with and influence a wide range of people at all levels both within and external to Curtin and an ability to build trusted and lasting partnerships and networks.
  • Ability to develop and deliver programs, events and initiatives to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and effectively within a large multifunctional team environment.
  • Knowledge and experience working with a customer relationship management system.
  • Previous experience in engagement and/or fundraising, who is keen to support the transformative mission of higher education.
