to be part of our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Division**.


The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Taskforce (the Taskforce) is the single most significant investment in the health, safety and wellbeing of Victoria Police employees.

The Taskforce has been established to improve prevention and response to work related injuries.

The Taskforce is establishing six multi-disciplinary teams (MDT), based in hubs across the state, enhancing employee's mental health, injury prevention, early intervention, and recovery support.

These newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to supporting employees. These newly created positions offer an exciting opportunity to support Victoria Police employees.


Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Career Advisory Lead will provide technical expertise to Taskforce leadership and Career Advisors working within a multi-disciplinary team across Health, Safety and Wellbeing Hubs.

The position will design, develop and deliver a career advisory service which will provide career development and transition pathways to our employees, in particular ill/ injured employees and those preparing for retirement.


Your duties will include:


  • Design and develop a career advisory service in line with organisational policy and legislative requirements, including associated procedure and policy development.
  • Monitor service delivery ensuring best practise, consistency and customer satisfaction.
  • Providing high level briefings on programs and activities to fulfil funding and reporting requirements.
  • Foster effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate creative remain at work and return to work opportunities for Victoria Police employees.
  • Participate as part of the leadership team on program evaluation, reporting and meeting performance indicators.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Proven ability to develop, design and delivery an effective career advisory service.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of best practise in career education and transition.
  • Demonstrated ability in evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Highly developed communication, conceptual, negotiation and consultation skills with the ability to influence managers and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the proven ability to establish and sustain effective working relationships, including the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
