The RoleAn opportunity has become available for a Fellow (Echocardiology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will- Provide appropriate evidenced based clinical care in the specialty of cardiology and echocardiography for both inpatients and outpatients
- Provide support for a rapid cardiology clinic
- Perform and report transthoracic echocardiogram under supervision
- Supervise the day to day running of the stress echocardiogram service
- Provide support to clinical measurement department, in context of providing clinical advice regarding echocardiography findings
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Competency and recognised training in Cardiology and Cardiac catheterisation including successful completion of an Advanced training in Cardiology at a recognised centre
- Eligibility for registration in Australia as a specialist in Cardiology (AHPRA Registration)
- Familiarity in acute coronary intervention and participation in an established primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention program
- Training and experience in cardiac catheterisation as per CSANZ guidelines
- Experience in cardiovascular research
- Completed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 1
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

The Cardiac Services at the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) includes a 20 bed cardiology ward, 6 bed Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) and 3 Cardiac Catheter Suites with one being an Electrophysiology Laboratory and the other 2 being Coronary and Structural Laboratories.
The Electrophysiology Service commenced in 2016 and the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) program commenced in 2017. Based in Southport and Robina.About Gold Coast Health
