About the Opportunity

Here at Entain Australia, we're building a market leading Econometrics team and we're searching for innovative and creative professionals, willing to push the boundaries of econometrics, to be part of the team. As a Junior Econometrician you will work directly with experienced Econometricians to deliver insights on marketing performance and identify areas for improvement and optimisation. _
With a specific focus on Market Mix Modelling (MMM) you will be involved in data analysis and exploration, data preparation and cleaning, building and updating a suite of statistical models and delivering the results to the marketing team. You will work closely with the marketing department and media agencies to understand their strategies and marketing campaigns in detail to enable you to provide well rounded recommendations and insights. _
The role requires an analytical and inquisitive mind and someone who is genuinely passionate and curious about data and how we use it to understand the effectiveness of our marketing activity. This is an opportunity to work amongst talented specialists across a broad range of analytical and statistical projects in a fastpaced environment._

What you will do

Perform exploratory data analysis to understand the latest trends in our input variables
Extract, prepare and clean the data for modelling
Assist with the building and maintenance of a suite of MMM models
Work with the senior team members to run budget optimisations and scenarios
Forecast future business performance based on expected levels of spend and activity
Conduct adhoc statistical analysis and provide recommendations on strategic business questions.
Partner closely with marketing stakeholders to embed the latest MMM outputs and recommendations across the department to inform their decisionmaking processes
An undergraduate degree with a strong basis in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science or Psychology (transcript required)
Have a sound understanding of Econometric principles and theories
Have an understanding of understanding of timeseries analysis and modelling techniques
Have excellent data analysis and interpretation skills
Comfortable using Excel
Experienced in Python, R, or any other statistical package.
A willingness to learn with a proactive personality and a strong work ethic
