Description

We are seeking a Research Ethics Officer to join our Research Ethics Team, where they will provide customer service to the applicants for research ethics approval and to assist in the administration of the University's Ethics Committees.

The Research Ethics Officer provides support to current and future researchers and the opportunity to play a part in enabling world-class research.


Responsibilities include the provision of expert advice to research staff and students and the effective management of correspondence and official records relating to the ethical review of research protocols.

The position operates within a governance framework with established guidelines, policies and processes.


To be successful in this role you will need:
Experience in an administration role in higher education, government or the research sector

The ability to learn and use various computer systems

An awareness of the codes and standards that underpin research ethics

Strong writing and communication skills


You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Courage and Personal Excellence.

Benefits & Remuneration
The position attracts a remuneration of $78,854 - $87,624 pa. It attracts a 17% University superannuation contribution.
