About the role:


We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team supporting the delivery of virtual care (telehealth) across SVHNS.

The Virtual Care Concierge role will be responsible for supporting patients to overcome barriers when accessing virtual care (telehealth). Providing trouble-shooting support and education facilitates improved patient experience, accessibility, understanding and overall quality of care.


This position is responsible for assisting in making the virtual care process streamlined and meaningful to patients and those involved in their care via a virtual care telephone support line, testing patient-facing technologies, education and training.

This includes the development of training materials as well as virtual and in-person education. The position will also support workforce capability building for virtual care, including workforce education and training activities.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a number of competing priorities.
  • Strong organisational skills, including the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume work environment.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and experience and skills related to digital platforms, including apps, tablets, videoconferencing and Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity in dealing with patients/carers/staff from diverse backgrounds and engage relevant organisations as required.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering education and/or training to different population groups.
  • Demonstrated experience in a health and/or hospital and/or medical related environment with an understanding of the importance of policies, procedures and maintaining confidentiality.
