An exciting opportunity to work within the sterilising services department at Ryde Hospital.

The Sterilising Services Department at Ryde is looking for a highly motivated enthusiastic person to provide sterile, thermal and chemically disinfected medical and surgical equipment to all areas for use in patient care, in accordance with Australian standards.

Where you'll be working
Within the Sterilising Services Department at Ryde Hospital.

Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community. _
The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more. _

The primary purpose of the position is to provide sterile and thermally and chemically disinfected medical and surgical equipment to all areas for use in patient care. To work in all areas of the Sterilising Services to maintain the high standards in all processes involved with sterilisation and other procedures performed within the unit.

_ People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply__._**- Certificate in Sterilisation technology with previous experience in a Sterilising Services department.

Good communication skills, both written and oral including the ability to listen to and undertake direction.
Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines and strict time frames in a fast paced environment.
Ability to communicate well and function harmoniously within a team environment.
Understanding of Infection Prevention and Control guidelines, National Sterilisation standards and WH&S requirements.
Ability to meet all physical requirements as described in the position description.
