Bluefin Resources are working with a prestigious government enterprise to recruit an Enterprise Data Modeller on a permanent basis.


Purpose of Role

Accountabilities

  • Create and maintain the delivery of Enterprise data model, data modelling standards and business glossary
  • Develop and design Enterprise data models that meet organizational needs and is aligned to the business data management and data governance goals and plans.
  • Lead and direct the work of data modelers for the delivery of project data modelling deliverables
  • Act as a leader, mentor, and coach to other data modellers
  • Be involved, lead or participate in business and technical sessions to document or review program documentation.
  • Work with team to design, deliver and document the end to end data design/solution. Present the proposed data design to business and developers and get an approval from the relevant stakeholders
  • Work with business to understand the business requirements

Experience:


  • Sound experience in an Enterprise data modeller and/or similar role and significant years of experience in IT
  • Solid experience leading the creation of enterprise data model and managing the project data modelling delivery
  • Demonstrated experience in Azure or other cloudbased data and analytics data platform
  • Broad expertise across data modelling capabilities, principles and policies
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)

Skills:


  • Strong knowledge in creation and management of data management principles, data modelling and data naming standards
  • Extensive knowledge and experienced on industry reference data model e.g., Teradata-FSLDM, IBM Industry financial or utilities model (or any other industry reference model) and have used industry data model to deliver enterprise data model for a company
  • Good understanding of data ingestion, data consumption, data security, data access & authorisation, ETL design and framework knowledge
  • Extensive understanding of Logical Data Models, Physical Data Models and Dimension Models and ability to deliver Logical Models and Physical Designs
  • Intimate knowledge of data warehousing with respect to various data methodologies, such as Data Vault, 3rd Normal Form, Kimball
  • A deep understanding and experience of enterprise modern data architecture patterns and processes
  • Ability to coach, motivate and inspire colleagues
  • Clear written and verbal communications; able to communicate with a wide range of people and to gather requirements, analytics use cases
