Duties will include but not be limited to;

  • Actively assisting the team to ensure efficient work practices are maintained
  • Providing secretarial assistance to the solicitor including diary management and file management
  • Preparing correspondence and documentation from internal precedents for both Personal Injury and Worker's Compensation matters
  • Proofreading legal documents
  • Compiling medical/counsel briefs, Court documents under the direction of the Director
  • Printing and saving incoming correspondence
  • Arranging medical appointments on behalf of clients
  • Booking legal conferences
  • Copying, scanning and filing of paper and digital files

The Candidate**- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal, and/or partially completed legal studies

  • Good foundation of administration/clerical skills in a legal or similar environment
  • A strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn
  • Ability to maintain high quality work with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
  • Diary management and ability to work to deadlines
  • Highly motivated and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to follow and implement policies and office processes
  • Experience in Western Australia Plaintiff personal injury matters (desirable)
